Thendara, NY—  To honor the memory of local activist Muriel Cohen and benefit the 2011 Summer Golf Camp for Kids at Thendara, The Muriel Cohen Memory Celebration is scheduled for Monday, August 22^nd, 1 PM at the Thendara Golf Club in Thendara, New York.

 All profits generated at the Muriel Cohen Memory Celebration will benefit the 2011 Summer Golf Camp for Kids at Thendara.  The event registration and buffet lunch will begin at 11:30 AM, with a Shotgun Start at 1 PM.  All ability levels are welcome and encouraged to participate.  Foursomes, pairs and individuals will all be accomodated.  Golf carts and refreshments will be available.  A 19^th hole open bar, hors d’oeuvres and prizes will follow the golf tournament.  Other activities at the club will include Mahjong, Dominos, Knitting, Kayaking and Tennis.

 Muriel Cohen was a Real Estate Broker who brought joy to many by introducing them to Adirondack realty.   She was very active in the local community and donated her time to a variety of organizations including: Hospice, The Stanley Center for the Arts, Sitrin Nursing Home, Temple Beth El and the Resource Center for Independent Living.
